Poem: Elegy for Nameless

There she resides now
On distant misty shores
Where no mortal can tread

Oh passenger of Charon
I hope you looked back
As you crossed dark waters
To see those that loved you
Waving you on towards glory
With tears of love in our eyes
As your soul traversed across
The great divide of mystery
To places we can’t visit yet
Knowing you will be waiting
There to welcome us home
When we can join you again
On those distant shores

This weeks experimental poem is an elegy, a brief song of mourning. Read more about this form by clicking here.
