Lips draw tight In battle lines Stretching across Dinner tables Where brother Versus brother Stares daggers At the other Contemplating How long There was no Recognition of Blood betraying Blood in words And beliefs Twisting familiar Circumstances Into unrecognizable Shapes Like dirty napkins Left on white linen As a picked over Dinner grows colder Than the stares And manners Failed to bring Civil discourse To passions About ideas That are not Relevant To anyone At this table
