The fall always about brings changes
Such as the day’s weather getting cooler
The deciduous trees giving up their bounty
We walk with shuffling feet in an afternoon
That a few weeks ago would’ve been bright
With the sun high now in September early
Shadows hang long dragging a reflection
Of our feelings as we trudge meaninglessly

Poem: Phoenix of the Blue Sea
Her eyes are so familiar
Blue like the infinite ocean
His smile is so familiar
Like the warmth of the Spanish sun
In each others arms memories
Weave across time to the present
Poem: Meeting in the Evening Greeting in the Morning
When I first saw her across a room
The light seemed to attach to her
Glowing like a personal halo illuminating
Her as she danced alone in the crowd
Seemingly unapproachable in beauty
And with unworthy intent I approached
Poem: Building Tension
Smooth as silk until the shiver
As my fingers trace contours
Of your thigh until the edge
Of your dress is reached
Poem: Hush
a single finger
hush words would ruin a moment
perfected in silence
Poem: One of an Infinite Number of Summers
The smell of fresh cut grass
Hot dogs grilling and chlorine
On wet bikini clad bodies
All the trappings of summer
Days spent wasted on love
Poem: Summer Mistakes Yet to Bloom
It was a warm summer night
You were there in full bloom
Under the high full moon
Telling me to come inside
Because your daddy wasn’t home
Poem: Considering Weather 8/2/21
eastern sun drips wet
humidity in August
lingering at night
Poem: Forgetful City
I went searching for something
That I thought I had lost in California
Instead I found my dark haired beauty
Of sunset boulevard in bright colors
Designer heels sparking and diamonds
Looking like a movie stars dream
Poem: Queen of California
11:11 and I’m making my wish
To be with you where you are
I picture you standing there
In your underwear in front
Of a full window overlooking
The lights of LA stretching out
