The rain in Seattle makes me miss the east coast
With summers so hot you melt outside
Those brutal days are worth the warm nights
Where we would drink beer on the hood of your car
Watching the tide roll in lapping at the sand
As we skipped rocks shattering the stars

Poem: Adrift pt. 1
The stone skips smoothly
Across the rivers surface
It’s changing as it’s changing
As we’re changing
Poem: Stones Throw
The stone skips smoothly
Across the waters surface
Sending out ripple after ripple
From each place it kissed
Poem: Roots
Bare feet in a cold creek
Painted toes curling in soft mud
This is where I have chosen
To root myself in this world
