We always use the word changes
to describe life as it moves as it does
in reality it just rearranges
to something new from what it was
we’re trying to hold on because
we cannot adapt as we should

The coffee cup is empty
as I am, I can refill
the cup
I’m less sure about myself
As someone wise once told me,
nothingness can be useful;
in the cup
nothingness gives it purpose
