The pink of the flowers
Matches the blush of her cheek
The azure of the heavens
Envies the blue of her eyes
Poem: Chairs Up
When the laughter goes silent
Like a bar at closing
Where the chairs are all up
The floor is swept
And it’s me and this bottle
With all the ghosts of the night

Among the other utensils

A single brash outlier
Among the eight siblings
All equally matched
