Dear friend
I know it’s been a while
Since I wrote you but I’ve been thinking
Of you again and what I wanted to say
I think I found my voice again
Hidden between these pages

Anybody other than me
I want to pull on a mask
With a big grinning smile
Hiding away from a world
That I can barely stand

Splashing up high in puddles deep
On the outside may seem quite plain

The embodiment of a wish

Where she has me spinning

That really want to fray holding them
