Like the sand in the hour glass
She waits collapsed at bottom
Waiting for her turn
To start over again

Poem: Social is Kill
It’s easy to draw blood
Far harder to kill
Breeding the killer instinct
That becomes automatic
As breathing is different
Taking refinement and practice
Poem: Refugee
Cold walls enclose them
In a way a mother’s arms should
Their suffering wails go unheeded
By fathers in black uniforms
Who are uncaring guardians
Of children who fled homes
Seeking shelter from violence
To find safety in a distant country
