Of princesses in castles
With long flowing hair
And knights that chase after
Their happy endings

Poem: Adrift pt. 2
The current of life carrying us
Moved along hidden paths
Driven by unseen obstacles
That we try to navigate
Poem: On Stationary with No Address
You promised you’d write me
When you reached California
The first letters were filled
With joy of exploration of new
Places the sights and sounds
Of the west coast sunshine
Poem: Still Hoping
I packed my bags and sat in the car
With the engine idling and me thinking
About global warming while waiting
To see if you’d show up laughing
Bags in hand sun hat on ready
For some big adventure
Poem: Perfect Union
Wind sweeps over the battlefield
Carrying the silence
To the ears of the general
While his eyes look over the field
Filled with blood and ichor
Friend and foe frozen in eternal struggles
In the same dirty earth
Resting in eternal peace
Poem: Uprising
Skin
Has always been judge and jury
And executor
Judged as subhuman
Because of skin
Stock animals to be sold
Traded, worked until broken
Until we rose up
