The stone skips smoothly
Across the rivers surface
It’s changing as it’s changing
As we’re changing

I cannot tell you
of all the strings
I watch dancing
sewn and unraveling
a string for friends
a string for family
a string for scorn
a string forgetting
a string for each
gossamer threads
