She’s dressed up in green and red
Fitting the scene just right
With candy cane stockings
And a mistletoe hairpin
She could be naughty or nice

Blue is the color of her eyes
That turn a deeper shade
Of cerulean when reflecting
The clarity of summer skies

Blue like the deep of a lake
Her azure soul is filled
With experiences lived
Reflecting love and heartache

Before this moment I lived with a palette of grays
All the shades of monochrome differentiated
Lights and darks instead of vibrance and saturation
