Poem: No Sleep Coming

Looking for sleep when it can’t be found
Thirsting for slumber like a nomad
Out in the desert that would trade
My last thought for some sleep
What type of ritual or sacrifice
Do you need Morpheus to come
And take me to your kingdom
In these early hours when delusion
Replaces thoughts I would pay any price
To close my eyes and just drift away
