Poem: Grateful Host

She is like a star in the night sky
Except she is dimmer than the rest
A boring lady who can be interesting
When there’s been drinks before hand
For to really understand her brilliance
Requires knowledge of children’s literature
I don’t want to drag her name in the mud
Even the dirt doesn’t deserve to be disturbed
By the soft gentleness of her voice
That makes those who are deaf weep
So tonight we toast the hospitality
It’s better than being out in the cold

This week’s experimental poem is an Epigram and my attempt at being witty. You can read more about the form by clicking here.
