Poem: Heartfelt

Here in the dawning morning
Early rises my beating heart
Arriving on sweet robin's song
Ready to carry on fluttering wing
Towards Cupid's loving embrace
Filled with the infinite compassion
Expanding ever towards horizons
Lingering into the darkest night
To carry through into day

A response to De Jackson‘s heart quadrille prompt over at dVerse with a bonus heart acrostic.

  1. I think that sometimes, a poem with no frills, no wild formats, no esoteric plunge into the sesquipedalian depths… is a lovely, lovely poem. I wish I could write such direct beauty.
