Her eyes are so familiar Blue like the infinite ocean His smile is so familiar Like the warmth of the Spanish sun In each others arms memories Weave across time to the present Older than their lifetimes Made new in this exact moment They found a love that burns like fire Like fire the love turns to ashes From fire though rises the phoenix And so again their love will rise An ouroboros of passion Destined to consuming itself
A poem based on Saana’s prompt at dVerse in the Korean style of Kasa broken into 8 syllable couplets based loosely on the Legend of the Blue Sea.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. What more can I say about this piece? 😀 It’s absolutely enchanting and heartfelt. Love and romance is entirely consuming, I enjoyed how you captured that idea here. Such wonderful work.

I feel like if love isn’t consuming then it’s dying out.

This is incredibly incredibly stunning! I especially admire; “They found a love that burns like fire/Like fire the love turns to ashes/From fire though rises the phoenix/And so again their love will rise.” Thank you so much for adding your voice to the prompt. 💝💝

Nicely done. I was reading about the ouroboros in the origin story of dragons today. Some say it is a snake but in some artwork legs are shown, suggesting it’s a dragon.

I always think of the Ouroboros as the world serpent from Norse mythology. I’ve never seen it as a dragon, I’ll have to go take a look.
