Poem: Journey on Butterfly Wings

It starts
With discontent
A desire to move on
Towards a newer horizon
Again
Destinations await ahead
Forward to the unknown
Seconds flowing
Onward

A Butterfly Cinquain (2-4-6-8-2-8-4-6-2 syllables) response to the prompt “Journey” from Word Craft Prose and Poetry for Tanka Tuesday.

  1. A butterfly shape for a butterfly/travel poem. I like it. Beautiful photo too. I think a lot of people have that itch to move on to a new horizon. (I once took one of these online personality quizzes that suggested I had a high desire for novelty.)
