When she said she needed me Was it really me she needed Or were her lips just aching For somebody to love Was it really me she needed When I gave into her temptation For somebody to love In the lonely cold of night When I gave into her temptation She wrapped me in warmth In the lonely cold of the night With her lips of fire She wrapped me in warmth Freezing me in her absence With her lips of fire She burned my soul Freezing me in her absence When she said she needed me She burned my soul For somebody to love
Today’s experimental poem is a pantoum, a form of Malaysian poetry where the second and fourth lines of a stanza are the first and third in the following, and the final stanza repeats the first and third line. You can read more about this poetry form here.

Thank you it was an interesting style to write in because everyone had to be intentional versus writing from the cuff like I often do.
