Walking through old memories Where the heat of your body Kept me warm between sheets Soaked with the sweat Of our passions intwined Laying in a bed grown cold By your absence here Alone with my thoughts About where I could have turned When you were turning away Watching your back Walking away in our silence Where my pride held My tongue behind teeth Clenched in anger Forgiveness always comes too late Sorry is meaningless now No matter how strongly it’s said And I mean it this time When no one really cares Time passes as it always does Without a care or concern Even when I can feel it pass My heart counts the hours Since your heart changed
